{"id":244006,"date":"2003-09-10T12:34:56","date_gmt":"2003-09-10T16:34:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2003\/09\/2003-nassau-womens-show"},"modified":"2003-09-10T12:34:56","modified_gmt":"2003-09-10T16:34:56","slug":"2003-nassau-womens-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2003\/09\/2003-nassau-womens-show","title":{"rendered":"2003 Nassau Women&#39;s Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2003 Nassau Women\uffb9s Show, to be held at the Radisson Cable Beach Resort on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, will showcase the products and services of dozens of local businesses, and offer a packed schedule of informative workshops and demonstrations as well as lots of product samples, giveaways and exciting prizes.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The response from businesses and the public has been overwhelming, and we look forward to a very exhilarating weekend,\uffb2 said Amanda Knowles, conference coordinator.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Celebrating \uffb3Mind, Body and Spirit,\uffb2 the Nassau Women\uffb9s Show will present the latest trends in food, health, fitness, fashion, travel, investment and more. It will take place at the Radisson Cable Beach Resort Conference Centre on Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and on Sunday from Noon until 6 PM. Tickets will be on sale at the venue at $5 per adult per day. Children under 12 can attend free of charge.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P><br \/>\nThe weekend kicks off with an invitation-only Cocktail Reception and Fashion Show on the evening of Thursday, September 18, when the winners of the Show\uffb9s \uff8cCelebrate Women\uffb9 contest will be announced. Six women will be honoured in the following categories: Best Mom, Best Friend, Best Sister, Best Daughter, Best Wife and Best Boss, based on submissions received from the public. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P><br \/>\nThe Show will feature several presentations, including informative talks on women and the law, and managing a budget. There will also be lots of fashion, beauty, interior design and cooking tips, and a demonstration of self-defense techniques for women. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P><br \/>\nOne of the Show\uffb9s highlights is sure to be the \uff8cStill Need a Man\uffb9 Bachelor Auction, which is scheduled to take place at 4 PM on Saturday. Ladies will be able to bid for a romantic dinner date with any one of 15 eligible men. Those who are successful in their bids will be whisked off in a stretch Hummer for a memorable evening at a surprise location.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Among the many prizes on offer are a trip for two to the Dominican Jazz Fest, courtesy of Dames Associates Insurance Brokers &#038; Agents Ltd.; a $1,000 shopping spree from Rubins; two round-trip tickets on Bahamas Fast Ferries; an all-inclusive fun day for two at Blue Lagoon Island; a beautiful hand-made rug courtesy of Spirit of Yvo; an MP3 Player courtesy of Custom Computers Ltd; an authentic hand-decorated goose egg from King\uffb9s Jewellery World; gift certificates from Gypsy Interiors and Unique Interior Designs; a gift basket from the Skin Centre Medical Spa &#038; Boutique; a Star Sampler package courtesy of Tranquility Health Spa, and more.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The spectacular Grand Prize is a $6,000 down payment on a home, courtesy of Gold Circle Company Ltd. The drawing for that will take place on Sunday at 5:30 PM, and anyone who attends the event on Saturday or Sunday is eligible to enter.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The 2003 Nassau Women\uffb9s Show is being presented by Verve Design &#038; Promotions and More 94.9 FM.
