{"id":245291,"date":"2004-04-23T11:59:32","date_gmt":"2004-04-23T15:59:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2004\/04\/ingraham-hints-at-a-comeback"},"modified":"2004-04-23T11:59:32","modified_gmt":"2004-04-23T15:59:32","slug":"ingraham-hints-at-a-comeback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2004\/04\/ingraham-hints-at-a-comeback","title":{"rendered":"Ingraham Hints At A Comeback"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>He appeared to leave the door open for a possible return after hinting that hew ould remain on the sidelines only so long as the nation&#8217;s interests were being served.<br \/>\n<P><br \/>\nThe man who led the Bahamas successfully for nearly 10 years between 1992 qnd 2002 created a stir of speculation at the Grand Bahama Association of Administrative Professionals at the Crown Plaza Gold Resort and Casino in Freeport.<P><\/p>\n<p>Since the FNM&#8217;s 2002 election defeat, Mr. Ingraham has been adamant in refuting any suggestion of a comeback as leader. he said he wanted to observe the political scene from the sidelines.<br \/>\n<P><br \/>\nBut his words in Freeport, though ambiguous, have been interpreted as a possible change of mind. He said:<br \/>\n&#8220;Now I am listening. And now some people say I&#8217;m not talking enough. Perhaps one day I&#8217;ll get it right. The welfare  and betterment of the Bahamas remains my obsession, my only obsession. And so I say as long as those who are in, advance the Bahamas and all its people, people like me, who are out, will be comfortable with our station in life.
