{"id":245503,"date":"2004-07-08T12:38:40","date_gmt":"2004-07-08T16:38:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2004\/07\/sea-tragedy-vessels-at-fault"},"modified":"2004-07-08T12:38:40","modified_gmt":"2004-07-08T16:38:40","slug":"sea-tragedy-vessels-at-fault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2004\/07\/sea-tragedy-vessels-at-fault","title":{"rendered":"Sea Tragedy Vessels &#8216;At Fault&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>Evidence submitted to the Wreck Commission shows that the <i>my Sea Hunter<\/i> and the <i>my United Star<\/i> were both at fault in the August 2 collision at sea in which four people died and 25 were injured. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>This was the conclusion of the closing submissions on behalf of counsel for the Minister of Transport and Aviation, which was released to <i>The Tribune<\/i> yesterday. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The report also states that the Master of both vessels can be said to be &#8221;seriously negligent in the discharge of their duties.&#8221;<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The captain and helmsman on the <i>my United Star<\/i> first sighted the <i>my Sea Hauler<\/i> approximately eight miles out.
