{"id":245537,"date":"2004-07-19T12:54:25","date_gmt":"2004-07-19T16:54:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2004\/07\/family-terrorized-in-weekend-home-invasion"},"modified":"2004-07-19T12:54:25","modified_gmt":"2004-07-19T16:54:25","slug":"family-terrorized-in-weekend-home-invasion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2004\/07\/family-terrorized-in-weekend-home-invasion","title":{"rendered":"Family Terrorized in Weekend Home Invasion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The weekend rape and armed robbery of a family in Yamacraw Beach Estates indicates a trend in home invasions and highlights the increasing crime rates in The Bahamas&#8217; most populated island. <\/p>\n<p>A 65-year-old father sustained minor injuries to the head after being gun butted by one of three men who broke into his home at 3:42 Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The three men entered the home, two of whom were armed with handguns and the third one with a knife.<\/p>\n<p>The men allegedly raped the wife and daughter then stole $4,000 in cash and a 1993 Honda, license number 115740.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Supt.
