{"id":245569,"date":"2004-07-24T14:57:57","date_gmt":"2004-07-24T18:57:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2004\/07\/pastors-rape-charge"},"modified":"2004-07-24T14:57:57","modified_gmt":"2004-07-24T18:57:57","slug":"pastors-rape-charge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2004\/07\/pastors-rape-charge","title":{"rendered":"Pastor&#39;s Rape Charge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>A local pastor was released on $15,000 bail yesterday after being arraigned in Magistrate&#8217;s court for having sex with an 11-year-old girl. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Derek Dalano Campbell, 39, of No. 29 Davis Street was charged with one count of sexual intercourse with a minor. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Ironically, just one week ago a large group of obviously hypocritical pastors from around the Bahamas marched on Bay Street to terrorize gay tourists while one of their own was comitting an unspeakable act. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Court reports allege that on Tuesday, July 13, Campbell had sexual intercourse with the young girl.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>He was not required to enter a plea and will reappear in court on Tuesday, July 27. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The case was before Chief Justice Vera Watkins.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Sgt.
