{"id":246034,"date":"2004-11-06T17:19:41","date_gmt":"2004-11-06T22:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2004\/11\/armed-men-escape-after-bank-robbery"},"modified":"2004-11-06T17:19:41","modified_gmt":"2004-11-06T22:19:41","slug":"armed-men-escape-after-bank-robbery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2004\/11\/armed-men-escape-after-bank-robbery","title":{"rendered":"Armed Men Escape After Bank Robbery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two masked gunmen armed with automatic weapons yesterday robbed ScotiaBank&#8217;s East Street and Soldier Road branch.<\/p>\n<p>The men escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Supt Marvin Dames of the Central Detective Unit said that at about noon, Friday, four men pulled up to the bank in a white Nissan Sentra with heavily-tinted windows.<\/p>\n<p>He said that two of the men then entered the bank and held up a number of tellers. No shots were fired during the robbery<\/p>\n<p>Following the raid the men fled the scene in the Sentra car which police later found abandonded, east of the bank, in the Garden Hills area.<\/p>\n<p>The police have given descriptions of the two suspects. The first suspect had a dark complexion, a slim build and was about 6 ft 1 in tall. He was wearing a camouflage top and a black mask. The second suspect was heavily built and about 5 ft 9 in tall.
