Minister"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) &#8211; Police are investigating allegations that a government minister raped a woman, police said Wednesday.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Police said they questioned Minister of Works and Utilities Bradley Roberts on Tuesday but did not charge him.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>A 47-year-old woman has accused Roberts of raping her in her Nassau home on December 4, her lawyer, Wallace Rolle, has said.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Roberts, 61, denied the allegations. He said he &#8220;voluntarily presented&#8221; himself to police and &#8220;submitted to a full and frank interview in response to the allegation. I answered each and every question asked of me by the police.&#8221;<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>&#8220;The allegation is baseless and without merit,&#8221; he added in a written statement Tuesday. &#8220;I am confident I will be exonerated.&#8221;<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The Punch, a local bi-weekly tabloid, first published the allegations last Thursday.
