{"id":246434,"date":"2005-01-13T10:47:06","date_gmt":"2005-01-13T15:47:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/01\/mp-tears-up-pms-code-of-ethics"},"modified":"2005-01-13T10:47:06","modified_gmt":"2005-01-13T15:47:06","slug":"mp-tears-up-pms-code-of-ethics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/01\/mp-tears-up-pms-code-of-ethics","title":{"rendered":"MP Tears Up PM&#39;s Code Of Ethics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An angry MP tore the prime minister&#8217;s code of ethics in the house of Assembly yesterday, declaring it a &#8220;waste of time&#8221;.<br \/>\n<P><br \/>\nIn a passionate outburst, independent South Andros representative Whitney Bastian tore up two copies of the code saying he did see the sense of it.<br \/>\n<P><br \/>\nThis action was met by cheers and laughter from the opposition members and murmurs of disapproval from the government.<br \/>\n<P><br \/>\nMr. Bastian was angry because he felt that a government minister was using public funds to advance a PLP candidate against him in South Andros.<br \/>\n<P><br \/>\nHeaccused Agriculture minister V.
