{"id":246624,"date":"2005-03-01T10:57:22","date_gmt":"2005-03-01T15:57:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/03\/stubbs-debt-probe"},"modified":"2005-03-01T10:57:22","modified_gmt":"2005-03-01T15:57:22","slug":"stubbs-debt-probe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/03\/stubbs-debt-probe","title":{"rendered":"Stubbs Debt Probe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Observers of the Sydney Stubbs bankruptcy case are waiting for the Registrar of the Supreme Court to advertise for Mr. Stubbs&#8217; creditors and start the process of determining to whom and how much Mr. Stubbs may be in debt.<br \/>\n<P><br \/>\nMr. Stubbs&#8217; hearing was adjourned in January until his creditors could be approached to sign an agreement allowing the ruling to be struck off.<br \/>\n<P><br \/>\nQueen&#8217;s Counsel Thomas Evans, the attorney representing Mr. Stubbs, would not comment on how far the MP has advanced in this process because of attorney client privilege but said a date has not yet been set for Mr. Stubbs to appear in court.<br \/>\n<P><br \/>\nThe debt which caused Mr. Stubbs to be declared bankrupt was owed to Gina Gonzalez, the woman who instructed her attorneys to collect more than $70,000 from Mr. Stubbs.
