Marvin Dames said the victim had not been able to tell police where the attack occurred as she is unfamiliar with the island.<br \/>\n<P><br \/>\nAccording to Mr. Dames, the attacker is thought to be a Bahamian who is &#8220;certainly not a taxi-driver&#8221; but who may have been one of the &#8220;hackers&#8221; that have a been a concern for the police and licensed taxi-drivers in the past.<br \/>\n<P><br \/>\nMr. Dames said there have been 13 allegations of rape in the country so far this year, slightly down from the same period last year.<br \/>\n<P>Crime and corruption in the Bahamas is rapidly destroying the tourism industry. The United States government has already issued a warning to Spring Breakers informing them that the Bahamas is not a safe place.
