Shell Bahamas has denied reports that it is seeking to sell its petroleum distribution business in this nation, although the company’s country manager told The Tribune it was evaluating the value of its bahamian operations as part of a global programme.

\nLouis Curtie, when questioned by The Tribune about reports that the company was tentatively soliciting offers for its Bahamian petroleum distribution business in what could be a $20 million deal, responded: “Shell Bahamas is not for sale”.

\nThe Tribune contacted Mr. Curtie after multiple sources had told them that Shell Bahamas was exploring the possibility of disposing of its petroleum distribution business, which includes all the company’s service stations that are leased out to independent dealers.
