{"id":246890,"date":"2005-04-27T18:22:46","date_gmt":"2005-04-27T22:22:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/04\/language-cadets-take-sessions-to-undersea-realms"},"modified":"2005-04-27T18:22:46","modified_gmt":"2005-04-27T22:22:46","slug":"language-cadets-take-sessions-to-undersea-realms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/04\/language-cadets-take-sessions-to-undersea-realms","title":{"rendered":"Language Cadets Take Sessions To Undersea Realms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>Ministry of Tourism&#8217;s Foreign Language Cadets recently enjoyed an undersea adventure and special language activity at Stuart Cove&#8217;s Dive Bahamas. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The cadets, who have been chosen from hundreds of candidates because of their foreign language aptitude, were completing phase I of their foreign language training course with a dive experience off South Ocean. The group conducted their dive using subs, submersible scoots that allowed the students to pilot around a reef and interact with tropical fish. Prior to the dive experience, cadets were given a briefing in Spanish and French on how to use the sub by Stuart Cove&#8217;s bi-lingual staff. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The Stuart Cove&#8217;s sub experience was the final activity in phase I of the Ministry of Tourism&#8217;s Foreign Language Cadet Programme. During phase I of the programme, cadets participated in six weeks of activities that are conducted entirely in Spanish and French.
