Dead is Gerald Anthony Kawalec, 58, of League City, Texas.<\/p>\n
Police said Mr. Kawalec died before boarding a plane to the United States to see a doctor about chest pains he was experiencing. <\/p>\n
He was reportedly inside the airport’s terminal at around 8:40am preparing to travel to Florida when he suddenly collapsed to the floor. <\/p>\n
Police said he was later pronounced dead by Bimini’s District Medical Officer. <\/p>\n
Mr. Kawalec, according to authorities, arrived in Bimini with his wife, Diana, back on April 9 onboard their 42ft cruiser. <\/p>\n
Arrangements were being made to have his body transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital in Grand Bahama for an autopsy.<\/p>\n
