{"id":247394,"date":"2005-07-23T14:22:13","date_gmt":"2005-07-23T18:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/07\/ginn-is-back-in-grand-bahama"},"modified":"2005-07-23T14:22:13","modified_gmt":"2005-07-23T18:22:13","slug":"ginn-is-back-in-grand-bahama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/07\/ginn-is-back-in-grand-bahama","title":{"rendered":"Ginn Is Back in Grand Bahama"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ginn Development Company reportedly has decided to go ahead with plans for its multi-million-dollar development project in West End, Grand Bahama.<\/p>\n<p>This decision followed a meeting with Prime Minister Perry Christie last Wednesday, which went &#8220;very well,&#8221; a well placed source close to the project told The Freeport News yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Based on that meeting, the Ginn Company is definitely  moving forward to purchase the property, the source said.<\/p>\n<p>This decision comes weeks after it was believed that the Ginn Company had abandoned the project, supposedly because of Government&#8217;s inaction.<\/p>\n<p>Sources revealed that Ginn was about to sign a Heads of Agreement for the West End project the day Prime Minister Perry Christie suffered a stroke.<\/p>\n<p>Founded by Bobby Ginn, the private real estate development and management firm is recognised as one of the leading real estate companies in the U. S. and has a reputation for creating leisure lifestyle and resort communities. <\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s massive proposal for Grand Bahama is expected to be no less.<\/p>\n<p>The project will result in a major economic boost for West End, with plans to develop 2,500 acres of land.
