{"id":247444,"date":"2005-07-29T10:50:57","date_gmt":"2005-07-29T14:50:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/07\/shane-miller-to-be-officially-appointed-as-registrar-general"},"modified":"2005-07-29T10:50:57","modified_gmt":"2005-07-29T14:50:57","slug":"shane-miller-to-be-officially-appointed-as-registrar-general","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/07\/shane-miller-to-be-officially-appointed-as-registrar-general","title":{"rendered":"Shane Miller To Be Officially Appointed As Registrar General"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Acting Registrar General Shane Miller will be officially apopointed Registrar General now that a settlement has been reached by government with former registrar Elizabeth Thompson, a reliable source told The Tribune.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Mr. Miller was appointed Acting Registrar after Ms. Thompson was fired in January, although it was not until July 14 that she agreed to resign.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Ms. Thompson was fired from her post by the Judicial and Legal Services (JLSC) in January after serving just 11 months of her three-year contract.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>It was later determined by Supreme Court Justice Hugh Small that Ms. Thompson had been wrongfully dismissed.
