{"id":247489,"date":"2005-08-04T11:01:30","date_gmt":"2005-08-04T15:01:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/08\/man-charged-with-unlawful-sexual-intercourse-with-child"},"modified":"2005-08-04T11:01:30","modified_gmt":"2005-08-04T15:01:30","slug":"man-charged-with-unlawful-sexual-intercourse-with-child","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/08\/man-charged-with-unlawful-sexual-intercourse-with-child","title":{"rendered":"Man Charged With Unlawful Sexual Intercourse With Child"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 24-year-old Gambier resident appeared in court Tuesday accused of engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse with a two-year-old child.<\/p>\n<p>Chet Antonio Hanna of Douglas Road appeared before Magistrate Susan Sylvester where he was informed that he allegedly committed the act on July 27.<\/p>\n<p>He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.  The case was adjourned to continue on December 1.<\/p>\n<p><b>Possession of forged documents<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Haitian national Claudine Francisque, 19, appeared in the same court and pleaded guilty to possessing on July 29 an Embassy of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas Visa # No. 302-105-E6F in her name.<\/p>\n<p>She also uttered the fake document on the same date.<\/p>\n<p>On each count the court ordered her to pay a fine of $2,000 or face six months jail time.  Each sentence will run concurrently.  <\/p>\n<p>Another Haitian national, Benson Bonhomme, also known as Patrick Jean, 22, was accused of  two counts of possessing forged documents.<\/p>\n<p>The Sixth Street the Grove resident admitted to possessing a Bahamas Certificate of Identity and a Bahamian driver&#8217;s licence on July 29 in the name of Patrick Jean.<\/p>\n<p>On the first count he was ordered to pay a fine of $3,000 or in default serve one year in prison.<\/p>\n<p>As for count two the court ordered that he pay a fine of $2,000 or spend six months in jail.<\/p>\n<p>Both sentences will run concurrently.<\/p>\n<p><b>oFrged documents and currency<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Donovan Bernard Johnson, 33, of Orange Street, St. Andrew&#8217;s, Jamaica, admitted to possessing a forged United States of America Passport and a Florida state driver&#8217;s licence in the name Carlyle Lauriston on July 29.<\/p>\n<p>On the same date he admitted to possessing five fake $100 U.S. currency notes.<\/p>\n<p>On each count Magistrate Sylvester ordered that he pay a fine of $1,500 or face six month jail time.<\/p>\n<p>Sergeant Ann Marie Neeley prosecuted.<\/p>\n<p><b>Unlawful sex<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Kenneth Gordon, 20, of Cowpen Road appeared before Magistrate Marilyn Meeres accused of unlawful sexual intercourse.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the accused engaged in unlawful sexual intercourse with a female aged 12 years on July 29.<\/p>\n<p>He was not required to plead to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $10,000. The case continues September 29.<\/p>\n<p>Sergeant Daxon prosecuted.<\/p>\n<p><b>Possession with intent to supply<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Appearing in the drug court was Adrian Beckles, 29, of Hay Street accused of possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to supply.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the accused possessed a pound and a half of marijuana on July 29 with the intent to supply.<\/p>\n<p>Beckles pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $10,000. He also has to report to Central Police Station every Tuesday and Saturday before 6 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The matter was adjourned to Feb. 15, 2006.  <\/p>\n<p>Alton John Davis of Johnson Road appeared in the same court before Magistrate Carolita Bethel accused of possession of dangerous drugs and possession with intent to supply.<\/p>\n<p>Davis admitted that he possessed four grams of marijuana and intended to supply five grams of cocaine on August 1.<\/p>\n<p>On count one he was sentenced to serve six months in jail and one year on count two.<\/p>\n<p><b>Possession of drugs<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Possession of dangerous drugs was the charge on which Omar Laroone Bain, 26, of Flamingo Gardens appeared.<\/p>\n<p>Bain admitted to possessing an ounce of marijuana on July 28.
