{"id":247649,"date":"2005-09-01T11:59:00","date_gmt":"2005-09-01T15:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/09\/taxi-driver-shot-and-killed"},"modified":"2005-09-01T11:59:00","modified_gmt":"2005-09-01T15:59:00","slug":"taxi-driver-shot-and-killed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/09\/taxi-driver-shot-and-killed","title":{"rendered":"Taxi Driver Shot And Killed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police investigations were continuing yesterday into the shooting death of a taxi driver off Carmichael Road earlier in the morning.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>According to Police Inspector Walter Evans, the driver of a Mercedes Benz contacted the dispatch office around 2:30am stating that he had been shot in the area of St. Babbs Road.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Upon their arrival on the scene, officers reportedly met the victim slumped over the steering wheel with what appeared to be gunshot wounds about his body.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Police said the circumstances surrounding the country\uffb4s 31st homicide remained unclear.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The man\uffb4s identity was not released.
