Eastern Road is being overwhelmed by crime while the police remain silent, according to one homeowner.<\/P><\/p>\n
The caller, who wished to remain anonynous, told The Tribune that police are failing to report growing number of incidents occurring in the area.<\/P><\/p>\n
“People need to know what is happening so that they themselves can be more careful,” she said adding that police must be aware of the incidents as patrols have been stepped up in the area.<\/P><\/p>\n
Yesterday the homeowner claimed that over the past weekend alone there had been seven armed robberies and reports of a Canadian tourist being raped in a home on the Eastern Road.<\/P><\/p>\n
Several months ago, residents of Cable Beach also claimed that robberies were not being reported by police.<\/P><\/p>\n
