{"id":247706,"date":"2005-09-09T10:14:37","date_gmt":"2005-09-09T14:14:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/09\/man-shot-and-killed-in-nassau"},"modified":"2005-09-09T10:14:37","modified_gmt":"2005-09-09T14:14:37","slug":"man-shot-and-killed-in-nassau","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/09\/man-shot-and-killed-in-nassau","title":{"rendered":"Man Shot And Killed in Nassau"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police were on Thursday trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding the country&#8217;s latest homicide.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the brutal slaying took place around 4:30am Thursday in the Nassau Street area.<\/p>\n<p>According to Police Inspector Walter Evans, the victim who is believed to be in his late 30&#8217;s, was pursued by another male in the parking lot of the Nassau Palm Resort.<\/p>\n<p>Gunshots were heard soon after, ending in the victim being fatally shot.<\/p>\n<p>This latest tragedy marks the country&#8217;s 32nd homicide for the year. Active investigations continued into that matter as well as a stabbing in the Pinewood Gardens area Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A male resident of Jumbey Street was involved in an argument when three men attacked him,&#8221; Inspector Evans said. &#8220;During the altercation, he was stabbed in the lower back.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old was taken to hospital where his condition was last listed as serious, police said.<\/p>\n<p><small>By: Macushla N.
