{"id":247754,"date":"2005-09-16T11:18:53","date_gmt":"2005-09-16T15:18:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/09\/woman-in-need-neglected-by-salvation-army"},"modified":"2005-09-16T11:18:53","modified_gmt":"2005-09-16T15:18:53","slug":"woman-in-need-neglected-by-salvation-army","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/09\/woman-in-need-neglected-by-salvation-army","title":{"rendered":"Woman In Need Neglected By Salvation Army?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A destitute and pregnant young woman is wandering the streets of Nassau with no hope, claiming that society has let her down.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The barefoot woman, 23, who is only two weeks away from giving birth, is seeking help after the Salvation Army allegedly failed to provide for her basic needs.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Concerned members of the community, who yesterday accompanied her to the shelter on Meadows and West Streets, told The Tribune that she was &#8220;treated in a most disgusting fashion&#8221; on arrival.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>&#8220;This woman has absolutely nowhere to go. She is barefoot, she has no shoes.
