Mrs. Bernadette Christie, wife of the Prime Minister and Patron of \uffa0the Crippled Children’s Committee Raffle 2005, in a brief ceremony at the Mall at Marathon, on Tuesday November 1st, bought the first \uffa0
\nticket and officially launched this year’s raffle.<\/P><\/p>\n

The CCC Annual raffle is the main fund raising event of the year.<\/P><\/p>\n

This year the Grand Raffle is a Chevrolet 2005 Optra purchased by the \uffa0Committee. The second prize is a 7 Day Cruise for Two donated by \uffa0Arawak Homes and Sunshine Insurance, Freeport Oil, and Continental \uffa0Connections. The third prize is a $500 Gift Certificate donated by \uffa0the Coin of the Realm. The fourth prize is a 14k 18″ Italian Gold \uffa0Chain, donated by Solomon Mines. The fifth prize is a $250 Gift \uffa0Certificate donated by Kelly’s Home Furniture and the sixth prize is \uffa0a $200 Gift Certificate donated by Brass and Leather.<\/P><\/p>\n

In launching the Raffle, Mrs. Christie encouraged the community to give as generously as possible to assist the many children who need these services. The Chairman – Mr. Bismark Coakley stated that the Crippled Children’s Committee<\/a> has been in existence for more than fifty years, and can only continue its work with the support of the people of the Bahamas.<\/P>

He encouraged the citizenry to purchase raffle tickets.<\/P>

The Raffle drawing will take place on Saturday December 17, at the entrance to Kelly’s Home Centre at 8pm<\/P><\/p>\n
