{"id":248307,"date":"2005-12-08T10:59:02","date_gmt":"2005-12-08T15:59:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/12\/armed-robber-takes-cash-register"},"modified":"2005-12-08T10:59:02","modified_gmt":"2005-12-08T15:59:02","slug":"armed-robber-takes-cash-register","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/12\/armed-robber-takes-cash-register","title":{"rendered":"Armed Robber Takes Cash Register"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reports indicate that the gunman, who was last seen wearing a pair of blue trousers, a black jacket and a white handkerchief hiding the lower half of his face, entered Fergie&#8217;s Meat Mart and demanded that the cashier open the register. <\/p>\n<p>When the clerk was unable to open the register the gunman took the machine, which contained a small quantity of cash, police reported.<\/p>\n<p>The robber reportedly escaped on foot.<\/p>\n<p>Police were also yesterday investigating a shooting in the Garden Hills area that left one resident in hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened around 10pm. <\/p>\n<p>The details are that a 32-year-old resident of the area had just pulled up to his home when two men approached him, one of whom was armed.<\/p>\n<p>Police say several shots were fired and the homeowner was hit in the left arm and thigh area.<\/p>\n<p>The man was taken to hospital and was yesterday listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p>Meantime, officers from the Northeast Division also seized a firearm on Tuesday that led to the arrest of a 20-year-old resident of Foxdale. <\/p>\n<p>Police say the young man was found in possession of a black .380 pistol with two live rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n<p><small>By: Macushla N.
