{"id":248336,"date":"2005-12-13T10:54:01","date_gmt":"2005-12-13T15:54:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/12\/armed-robbery-on-bay-street"},"modified":"2005-12-13T10:54:01","modified_gmt":"2005-12-13T15:54:01","slug":"armed-robbery-on-bay-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2005\/12\/armed-robbery-on-bay-street","title":{"rendered":"Armed Robbery on Bay Street"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>A lone bold armed bandit robbed a Bay Street store in broad daylight on Saturday.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>A man walked into the liquor store on Bay and Market Streets opposite the old Straw Market around 12:00 noon.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>He walked up to the cashier and raised his shirt, revealing what appeared to be a gun in his waist-band.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The armed bandit ordered the two cashiers and two customers to the back of the store. Then he robbed the shop and two customers of an undisclosed amount of money.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The bandit was described as tall and dark. He escaped in a getaway car that was waiting through Market Street. Police have recently formed a special 60-member tourist patrol unit for the downtown area. But there were no cops around at the time of the robbery. And three cops arrived at the scene 10 minutes-after the hold-up.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P><SMALL>By: A. L.
