{"id":248632,"date":"2006-01-23T13:10:07","date_gmt":"2006-01-23T18:10:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2006\/01\/bahamas-expertise-to-boost-indias-cruise-tourism"},"modified":"2006-01-23T13:10:07","modified_gmt":"2006-01-23T18:10:07","slug":"bahamas-expertise-to-boost-indias-cruise-tourism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2006\/01\/bahamas-expertise-to-boost-indias-cruise-tourism","title":{"rendered":"Bahamas Expertise to Boost India&#39;s Cruise Tourism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>India and The Bahamas would enter into Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the possibilities of cooperation in the area of cruise shipping, which is expected to give a fillip to cruise tourism in the country.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>This was decided at a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Public Service of the Bahamas Frederick Mitchell and the Union Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Minister Thiru T R Baalu here today. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>As the Government is formulating a cruise shipping policy to make India an attractive cruise tourism destination with state-of-the-art infrastructure and other facilities at selected ports of the country, the MoU with Bahamas may give a fillip to this plan keeping in view the experience of Bahamas in this area. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Bahamas is a favoured cruise shipping destination in the world. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The two sides also discussed the possibility of having an MoU for engagement of more Indian sea-farers on the Bahamas Flagships.
