{"id":248860,"date":"2006-02-21T10:49:15","date_gmt":"2006-02-21T15:49:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2006\/02\/no-signs-yet-of-hooters-flying-back-to-nassau"},"modified":"2006-02-21T10:49:15","modified_gmt":"2006-02-21T15:49:15","slug":"no-signs-yet-of-hooters-flying-back-to-nassau","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2006\/02\/no-signs-yet-of-hooters-flying-back-to-nassau","title":{"rendered":"No Signs Yet of Hooters Flying Back to Nassau"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>Hooters Air officials are not saying whether they will return to Nassau and three other cities where flights were suspended in December and January for &#8220;seasonal adjustments.&#8221;<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The airline&#8217;s Web site has not been taking reservations for flights from the Nassau International Airport for about a month, though it was taking March reservations when the flight suspensions were originally announced in December.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Hooters Air also is not taking reservations from Gary, Indiana; Chicago, Illinois; and Las Vegas, which suffered flight suspensions at the same time.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Hooters Air officials did not return repeated calls Monday for information on the possible resumption of flights.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Gary, Indiana Airport Director Paul Karas said he was told by Hooters Air president Mark Peterson on Friday that the airline still is sorting through scheduling arrangements.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>&#8220;As far as we are told, it&#8217;s status quo right now and they are still deliberating,&#8221; Karas said Monday. &#8220;If they restart, we will take that as a positive.&#8221;<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Among arrangements the airline is looking at are tour packages to Las Vegas, Karas added.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The regularly scheduled flights went to Myrtle Beach, S.C., St. Petersburg, Fla., Nassau and Las Vegas.
