The first show took place in 2002.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Mr Halkitis, who is the chairman of BAIC, said the show will enable Bahamians to interact with Cuban companies in a manner which will &#8220;serve mutual benefits.&#8221;<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>He added that he hopes in the future to see a bilateral trade agreement signed between the Bahamas and Cuba that will better take advantage of the &#8220;fruitful&#8221; relationship.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Cuban Ambassador to the Bahamas Felix Wilson said the corporation&#8217;s support has been very important for trade relations between the two countries. &#8220;Without the support of BAIC we would not be able to show Bahamians exactly what Cuba has to offer them,&#8221; he said.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The show, which was organised by the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, will feature 23 companies that produce a wide range of goods, including building materials, glassware, electronics; cosmetics, perfume, furniture and souvenirs.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>It will be held from Monday, March 27 to Thursday, March 30 at RIU hotel on Paradise Island.<BR><br \/>\nMr Halkitis encouraged Bahamians to attend, saying that &#8220;it will be good for Bahamians to see what is going on in Cuba.&#8221;<\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trade with Cuba plays a major part in the Bahamian economy according to MP Michael Halkitis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"rop_custom_images_group":[],"rop_custom_messages_group":[],"rop_publish_now":"initial","rop_publish_now_accounts":{"facebook_10223285771444175_51037792744":""},"rop_publish_now_history":[],"rop_publish_now_status":"pending","footnotes":""},"categories":[12],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-249162","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-headlines"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/249162","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=249162"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/249162\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=249162"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=249162"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=249162"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
