{"id":249383,"date":"2006-04-18T11:31:04","date_gmt":"2006-04-18T15:31:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2006\/04\/body-found-floating-in-sea"},"modified":"2006-04-18T11:31:04","modified_gmt":"2006-04-18T15:31:04","slug":"body-found-floating-in-sea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2006\/04\/body-found-floating-in-sea","title":{"rendered":"Body Found Floating In Sea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>Abaco Police have classified Mr Carroll&#39;s death as suspicious and are awaiting the results of an autopsy.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>According to police, a resident of Green Turtle Cay spotted a body in the water near the beach at Sundowners Restaurant and Bar around l0am.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>A team of officers from Marsh Harbour went to the area by boat and retrieved the body of a white Bahamian man from the water. The victim was naked. There were also a few superficial bruises.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Supt Basil Rahming, press liaison officer for the northern Bahamas, said it appeared that the body had not been in the water for more than five hours.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>He said the victim was ferried to Cooper&#39;s Town Clinic and officially pronounced dead.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Arrangements have been made to have Mr Carroll&#39;s body flown to New Providence, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
