The unidentified man was found at about 7am in an upright position in a red Nissan truck at the northern end of the entry causeway, police reported.<\/p>\n
Foul play is not suspected. <\/p>\n
“It is believed that this male is probably in his mid 50s and is believed to be a resident of East New Providence,” said Inspector Walter Evans, Press Liaison Officer.<\/p>\n
An autopsy is expected to be performed this week to determine the exact cause of death. <\/p>\n
In other crime news:<\/p>\n
Police are investigating an altercation that broke out yesterday between two cyclists and the driver of a red Ford Taurus.<\/p>\n
The disagreement took place around 11am at Meadow and Augusta Streets. <\/p>\n
Inspector Evans reported that one of the cyclists sustained injuries to the left leg and left arm. <\/p>\n
He was taken to hospital for treatment but his condition was unknown up to press time yesterday. <\/p>\n
The driver of such red Ford Taurus was taken into police custody.<\/p>\n
* A man in his early 20s died while swimming on Love Beach on Friday just after 7pm, police said.<\/p>\n
Police believed he may have drowned. He was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n

* Sara’s Drug Store in the Golden Gates Shopping Plaza was robbed shortly after 8pm Sunday, police said. According to reports, a dark man, armed with a silver handgun, entered the establishment and approached the cashier. He demanded cash from the clerk, who handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the robber. <\/p>\n
The man, who was dressed in a blue shirt and colourful shades, fled the scene in a light coloured Nissan Sentra. <\/p>\n
* On Sunday around 9am, officers from the airport police station were conducting routine searches when they discovered a quantity of drugs. According to police reports, one kilo of cocaine was found in a bag believed to be the property of a passenger who travelled from Haiti later Saturday evening. <\/p>\n
Police have arrested two men, a 38-year-old and a 28-year-old, both believed to be of Haitian descent. <\/p>\n
Police investigations in such matters are ongoing.<\/p>\n
