The political parties should set the example showing they are not benefitting from illegal proceeds by not accepting any contributions from them.<\/p>\n<p>Bahamians, in general, feel this is a moral issue and not harmful to society as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>Parliament should therefore retroactively amend the necessary act(s) to legalize the \u201cnumbers houses\u201d and then political parties receipt of illegal proceeds would be legal.<\/p>\n<p>No need for a referendum.<\/p>\n<p>Julian A.
