Fathom the hypocrisy of Obama supporting a drug policy that is destroying the social fabric of so many countries while politely chastising the same countries for their failure at interdiction!!!<\/p>\n
Fathom the hypocrisy of the Chief of Staff, Principal Deputy in the US Secretary of State\u2019s Office of Global Women\u2019s Issues when discussing women\u2019s \u201crights\u201d, surely aware that US Drug Policy has damaged the lives of the wives, the mothers, the aunts, whole families.<\/p>\n
In the early 80\u2019s Dr. Milton Friedman, economist and champion for rights and freedoms wrote a letter to a former US President in which he quoted Oliver Cromwell.<\/p>\n
\u201cI beseech you in the bowels of Christ, think it possible you may be mistaken\u201d \u2013 about the course of the US Drug Policy.<\/p>\n
In the same letter Dr. Friedman referred to measures used to fight the \u201cwar on drugs\u201d as the major source of the evils all of us deplore.<\/p>\n
How many more years will it take for the Imperial Presidency to come to terms with the failure of a drug policy that has effectively destroyed formerly peaceful countries, in thrall of a policy these poor countries \u00a0cannot change?<\/p>\n
If there is any \u201cchange we can believe in\u201d \u00a0it is one that takes the criminality out of drug use and treats it as a health problem.<\/p>\n
