{"id":26241,"date":"2012-09-28T09:19:02","date_gmt":"2012-09-28T13:19:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=26241"},"modified":"2012-09-28T09:19:02","modified_gmt":"2012-09-28T13:19:02","slug":"bahamas-to-host-water-conference-october-1-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2012\/09\/bahamas-to-host-water-conference-october-1-5","title":{"rendered":"Bahamas to Host Water Conference October 1-5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2012\/09\/bahamas-to-host-water-conference-october-1-5-26241.html\/water-conference\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-26244\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-26244\" title=\"water-conference\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/water-conference.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"133\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/water-conference.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/water-conference-150x99.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>The Bahamas is set to welcome more than 200 participants from as many as 30 countries in the region, as the Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC), in conjunction with the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA), will be hosting the CWWA\u2019s 21st Annual Conference and Exhibition and the First Caribbean Water and Wastewater Congress.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s conference will be held October 1-5, 2012, at the Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island, under the theme \u201cWaste and Waste Management in the Caribbean \u2026 Real Strategies and Solutions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works and Urban Development Philip Davis is the host minister for the event.<\/p>\n<p>According to a WSC statement, the Conference seeks to highlight strategies and solutions to the \u201cmyriad of challenges\u201d that the Caribbean water, wastewater and solid waste sectors now face.<\/p>\n<p>The conference also presents opportunities for networking and establishing new partnerships, so that all persons in the region can benefit from each other\u2019s successful experiences, the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>The CWWA is a regional non-governmental umbrella organisation representing professionals and related agencies of all types in the water, wastewater and solid waste sectors.
