{"id":27566,"date":"2012-11-02T08:19:07","date_gmt":"2012-11-02T12:19:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=27566"},"modified":"2012-11-02T08:19:07","modified_gmt":"2012-11-02T12:19:07","slug":"former-city-market-chief-pledges-legal-action","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2012\/11\/former-city-market-chief-pledges-legal-action","title":{"rendered":"Former City Market Chief Pledges Legal Action"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_16700\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16700\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-16700\" title=\"city-market\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/city-market.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/city-market.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/city-market-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-16700\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">City Market<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The former City Markets\u2019 supermarket chain\u2019s principal pledged to take &#8220;strong legal action&#8221; against its ex-Harbour Bay store\u2019s landlords and BISX-listed AML Foods, arguing that his company was current on rental payments when the lease was terminated.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming Tribune Business reports earlier this year, which disclosed that he was contemplating legal action over the lease termination, something that had cost him and the company $1.5 million, Mark Finlayson said numerous letters had been exchanged between his attorneys, and those for the other two parties.<\/p>\n<p>However, AML Foods executives shrugged off Mr Finlayson\u2019s threat of legal action.<\/p>\n<p>Dionisio D\u2019Aguilar, the BISX-listed food group\u2019s chairman, said there would be no impact on its $5.5-$6 million Solomon\u2019s Fresh Market investment there.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives for the Mosko family could not be reached for comment.
