\"\"<\/a>The Nassau Renaissance Singers are pleased to announce their 2012 \u201cMusic for Christmas\u201d concerts will be held on the 6th and 8th of December at the Ballroom of Government House at 8:00 pm.<\/p>\n

These performances will be held under the distinguished patronage of Their Excellencies, The Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes & Lady Foulkes.<\/p>\n

At this year\u2019s concerts, the choir will release their new CD, which will be available for purchase. It is dedicated to the memories of E. Clement Bethel and Pauline Glasby, former Nassau Renaissance Singers Directors.<\/p>\n

The choir is under the direction of Mrs Audrey Dean – Wright, a gifted Musical Director, Pianist, and Composer. Well known pianist, Raymond Antonio will again accompany the group.<\/p>\n

As in the past, the audience will be invited to join in the usual after concert wine and chat at the close of the evening.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the Renaissance Singers have ushered in the traditional annual Christmas festivities for many in the Bahamas. This year\u2019s concerts will be no different. Based on the programme selections, it should be a most memorable concert.\u00a0 Classical and traditional Christmas music as well as music from around the region and music, the style of which former Choir Director, E. Clement Bethel was noted for, will be performed.<\/p>\n

The choir has a wonderful mix of singers, some of whom have been a part of the Renaissance Singers for many years and some who are new comers to the group.\u00a0 This year will feature several of the young members and artists of the Bahamas as special guests.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the Nassau Renaissance Singers\u2019 concert may be purchased at Custom Computers in the Harbour Bay Shopping Plaza, East Bay Street or at its Cable Beach store.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from the concerts are to benefit the Nassau Renaissance Singers\u2019 Scholarship Fund at the College of the Bahamas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
