Moss has been sent a letter, asking himn to resign, directly from the Office of the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n
In a statement on Facebook last night, Mr Moss said he would step down “…should it ever be determined that my services as chairman of NIB are no longer required”.<\/p>\n
Apparently, Mr Christie decided that time had come, following Mr Moss’ Facebook rant, which contradicted the facts Mr Christie told reporters and generally made the Prime Minister look like he didn’t know what was going on.<\/p>\n
Moss told his Facebook followers that he did indeed still have an NIB credit card, contradicting Mr Christie’s earlier remarks to reporters.<\/p>\n
Christie said last week that Moss no longer had the card. Mr Moss said in his statement that he was given the credit card, which he still has.<\/p>\n
Speaking earlier today, Shane Gibson, National Insurance Minister, and Moss’s boss, said: “As minister I was extremely disappointed when I saw the comments in the papers because I had personally instructed Moss not to use the credit card and I had informed the PM that he no longer had use of the credit card. I think the only difference was that he never turned it in, but he was instructed not to use it until after the forensic audit at NIB.”<\/p>\n
When asked to comment on the matter, Mr Moss said, “I have absolutely nothing to say.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
