{"id":3081,"date":"2010-10-14T08:28:55","date_gmt":"2010-10-14T12:28:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=3081"},"modified":"2010-10-14T08:28:55","modified_gmt":"2010-10-14T12:28:55","slug":"jazztell-newest-entrant-to-bahamas-telecom-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2010\/10\/jazztell-newest-entrant-to-bahamas-telecom-market","title":{"rendered":"Jazztell Newest Entrant To Bahamas Telecom Market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Liberalization of the telecommunications sector is coming on stream in  full force, with another company making a$1.5 million investment to  introduce more Internet and phone packages to The Bahamas.<\/p>\n<p>Jazztell Bahamas Ltd. is the latest entrant in the market to offer fixed  and wireless Internet and phone services, which would increase  competition for the three players now in the market, said head of the  company Leslie Pindling.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think we need more competition,&#8221; he told the Nassau Guardian. &#8220;Cable  Bahamas cannot be the only one to offer Internet service in The Bahamas.  We need competition and I think there is enough market share for  Jazztell, IPSI, BTC and Cable Bahamas to go around in this market.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Although not officially launched yet, Jazztell already has 80 customers registered for its services.<\/p>\n<p>Pindling asserts the company will likely see anywhere from 3000 to 5000  customers in its first year of being officially opened.
