{"id":31024,"date":"2013-02-01T09:14:41","date_gmt":"2013-02-01T14:14:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=31024"},"modified":"2013-02-01T09:23:39","modified_gmt":"2013-02-01T14:23:39","slug":"public-angry-over-negated-vote","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2013\/02\/public-angry-over-negated-vote","title":{"rendered":"Public Angry Over Negated Vote"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-31031\" title=\"votes-negated\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/votes-negated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/votes-negated.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/votes-negated-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>East Grand Bahama MP Peter Turnquest said the public has been left \u201cconfused and angry\u201d in the aftermath of the gambling referendum.<\/p>\n<p>Turnquest also hit out at Attorney General Allyson Maynard-Gibson for allegedly not giving the government \u201cbetter advice\u201d on the gaming referendum.<\/p>\n<p>His comments came in the House of Assembly shortly after lawyer Wayne Munroe filed an injunction in the Supreme Court to prevent the government from shutting down web shop gaming.
