{"id":3200,"date":"2010-10-18T07:50:47","date_gmt":"2010-10-18T11:50:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=3200"},"modified":"2010-10-18T07:50:47","modified_gmt":"2010-10-18T11:50:47","slug":"zns-drops-the-axe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2010\/10\/zns-drops-the-axe","title":{"rendered":"ZNS Drops The Axe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The board of the Broadcasting Corporation of the Bahamas (BCB) completed its new organisation chart on Friday.\u00a0 Dozens of workers, including some popular on-camera personalities, were dismissed.<\/p>\n<p>Others received promotions or were reassigned.<\/p>\n<p>Police officers were on hand to escort workers out of the building and to prevent a reoccurance of Thursday&#8217;s chaos.<\/p>\n<p>Reporter Charlene Ferguson, sports anchor Marcellous Hall, television makeup artist Rudolph Minnis and camera woman Laura Lowe were a few of the people who lost their jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Former news editor Beverley Curry will now head the parliamentary channel. Reporters Syann Thompson and Betty Thompson-Moss will work with Ms Curry.<\/p>\n<p>Altovese Munnings, who recently joined ZNS from Island FM, and Opal Roach were promoted to editors.
