{"id":33981,"date":"2013-04-05T09:37:57","date_gmt":"2013-04-05T13:37:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=33981"},"modified":"2013-04-05T09:37:57","modified_gmt":"2013-04-05T13:37:57","slug":"greedy-land-grabbers-harming-residential-neighborhood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2013\/04\/greedy-land-grabbers-harming-residential-neighborhood","title":{"rendered":"Greedy Land Grabbers Harming Residential Neighborhood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I see that the bandits are trying to do it again \u2013 steal green property for their own private gain.\u00a0 The greensward just west of Malcolm\u2019s Texaco Station out west and just before Perpall Tract road is being abused by certain persons setting up nasty barbecues and noisy sound systems blaring out what they think passes for music, but in reality is offensive and an injustice to the ears.\u00a0 They have even taken it upon themselves to plant posts for what I assume is intended to be a permanent structure.\u00a0 This is a residential neighborhood and this cannot and will not be allowed.<\/p>\n<p>This is the same type of greedy grabbing action where people planted themselves on the roadside like they did at Montagu Ramp and Arawak Cay, causing nuisance and then later attempting to legalize their being there.\u00a0 They have harmed these areas and we cannot allow them to take over every bit of green land wherever and whenever they wish.\u00a0 They leave garbage, create a traffic nuisance, they are visually unattractive and those doing this are lacking in responsibility and respect; their sounds and smells are offensive and their being there promotes further criminal activity.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone trying to justify their being there is not a resident of the area, does not have to live with this nuisance and does not pay taxes for the area or have pride in the beauty of this area of greensward or the watershed behind \u2013 which would probably wind up being garbage and trash infested and a place for them to relieve themselves and throw bottles and cans.<\/p>\n<p>This encroachment must me stopped and discouraged by confiscation of their property and huge fines so as to be a lesson to them and to leave a very strong message to anyone attempting to abuse these public spaces in the future.\u00a0 Police, politicians and residents must all band together to block this and any attempt to set up these eyesores and annoyances in all places at all times now and in the future.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em><strong>By: Robert D.
