{"id":34418,"date":"2013-04-16T08:32:20","date_gmt":"2013-04-16T12:32:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=34418"},"modified":"2013-04-16T08:32:22","modified_gmt":"2013-04-16T12:32:22","slug":"vehicle-smashing-rampage-continues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2013\/04\/vehicle-smashing-rampage-continues","title":{"rendered":"Vehicle Smashing Rampage Continues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2013\/04\/vehicle-smashing-rampage-continues-34418.html\/smashed-2\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-34419\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-34419\" title=\"smashed\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/smashed1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/smashed1.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/smashed1-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>As residents of the Carmichael Road and South Beach areas slept early Saturday morning, a group of men drove around smashing scores of vehicle windows and windshields.<\/p>\n<p>At least 20 vehicles were damaged near Gerald Cash Primary School, St. Vincent Road, Munnings Avenue, and even into Pinewood.<\/p>\n<p>Most vehicles had the rear windows broken, while others had both the front and rear windows destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>St. Vincent Road resident Ismay Black said she heard what sounded like a gunshot around 4:30 a.m. but had no idea someone had thrown rocks at her car.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just heard \u2018bam\u2019, like a gun, and I told my husband to see what it was, but if it was anything don\u2019t go out,\u201d Black said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe didn\u2019t see anything.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo this morning I was getting ready to finish a report I have to do when [my husband] ran inside and said girl your whole back glass [is] gone\u2019, and when I came outside two of my neighbor\u2019s pyramid stones were sitting in the back window.\u201d Black\u2019s silver Honda was badly damaged.<\/p>\n<p>She said when she went to the police station to report the incident there were other people making similar complaints.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I was told was that some young men were driving in a Ford F150 truck and went around having a field day at 4:30 in the morning like they have some problem in the bed,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight now I have a windshield problem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere can I go like this in an already touchy car?
