An island-wide manhunt is on for as many as six men believed to have stormed into a Garden Villas apartment Monday afternoon and opened fire on the male occupant.<\/p>\n
Up to press time, the victim, who was shot in the stomach and leg, was still being treated for his injuries at the Rand Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n
While police have no motive for the shooting at this time, Police Press Liaison Assistant Superintendent Hector Delva said the victim is believed to be a resident of Bimini and he was one of two people inside the apartment.<\/p>\n
According to reports, around 2:30 p.m. four individuals came out of a vehicle, went into the Garden Villas apartment and two shots were fired.<\/p>\n
All of the men, “four or six,” were reportedly armed with handguns and other weapons.<\/p>\n
“The ambulance was called, he was taken to the hospital where he is now being treated,” he said.<\/p>\n
The police is also on the look-out for a tan-coloured Saturn, licence plate un-known, which the men made their escape in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
