{"id":3772,"date":"2010-11-02T11:01:30","date_gmt":"2010-11-02T15:01:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=3772"},"modified":"2010-11-02T11:01:30","modified_gmt":"2010-11-02T15:01:30","slug":"five-charged-in-connection-with-bishops-robbery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2010\/11\/five-charged-in-connection-with-bishops-robbery","title":{"rendered":"Five Charged in Connection with Bishop&#8217;s Robbery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Five people were charged in Magistrates Court yesterday in connection with the armed robbery of Bishop Elkin Symonette and his wife.<\/p>\n<p>A pregnant Princess Dean 19, and her accomplice Lakeithera Johnson, 27, appeared before Magistrate Carolita Bethel charged with attempted arson.<\/p>\n<p>It was alleged that on October 19, Dean and Johnson attempted to set fire to Ebenezer Baptist Church located on Charles Vincent Street.<\/p>\n<p>Attorney Ian Cargill represented Ms Dean while Ms Johnson was represented by attorney Deon Smith.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, three men, allegedly working with the women, were charged with robbing the Bishop.<\/p>\n<p>Nathaniel Pinder, 28, Patrick Rolle, 35, and Wilbert Flowers, 27, were charged with conspiring to commit armed robbery on October 18.<\/p>\n<p>Allegedly, Pinder, Rolle and Flowers robbed Bishop Symonette of a Scotiabank cheque book, a video camera, a silver bishop&#8217;s ring, a navy blue Ford Taurus and an assortment of tools, in addition to $60 cash.<\/p>\n<p>The punks also allegedly robbed the bishop&#8217;s wife of $14 cash.<\/p>\n<p>None of the suspects were required to enter a plea to the charges. The men were remanded to Her Majesty&#8217;s Prison.
