{"id":4026,"date":"2010-11-11T08:38:27","date_gmt":"2010-11-11T13:38:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=4026"},"modified":"2010-11-11T08:38:27","modified_gmt":"2010-11-11T13:38:27","slug":"accused-rapist-jailed-on-burglary-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2010\/11\/accused-rapist-jailed-on-burglary-charges","title":{"rendered":"Accused Rapist Jailed On Burglary Charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The man accused of brutally raping an elderly nun was formally arraigned in a magistrate\u2019s court yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Latterrieo Duncanson, 29, of Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera, is accused of  breaking into the Roman Catholic Convent in Rock Sound, Eleuthera,  sometime between 10:30 p.m. on November 5 and 12:35 a.m. on November 6.<\/p>\n<p>It is alleged that during that time, Duncanson, who was allegedly armed  with a knife, robbed the elderly woman of $90 and a ring worth $500.<\/p>\n<p>While at the convent Duncanson allegedly forced the woman to have sex  with him. According to police reports, before he left he told her not to  contact the police.<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate Carolita Bethell explained that the rape charge could not be  heard in the magistrate\u2019s court.
