Allen will take up the post in  January.<\/p>\n<p>Current COA President Dame Joan Sawyer is retiring. Many people have said Ms Sawyer was obnoxious and incompetent.<\/p>\n<p>Allen, the wife of the flip-flopping former Cabinet Minister Algernon Allen, was appointed Senior Justice in October, 2005.<\/p>\n<p>A former managing partner of Allen, Allen and Company, Ms Allen was appointed Supreme Court Justice in 1996.<\/p>\n<p>She will join Justices Christopher Blackman, Stanley John and George Newman as Justices of the appellate court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham has confirmed that Senior Justice Anita Allen will be the next Court of Appeal (COA) president, .
