{"id":43895,"date":"2013-11-28T01:01:50","date_gmt":"2013-11-28T06:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=43895"},"modified":"2013-11-28T01:02:25","modified_gmt":"2013-11-28T06:02:25","slug":"canadian-expert-leads-training-on-electrical-code","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2013\/11\/canadian-expert-leads-training-on-electrical-code","title":{"rendered":"Canadian Expert Leads Electrical Code Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-43896\" title=\"eletrical-code-training\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/eletrical-code-training.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/eletrical-code-training.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/eletrical-code-training-150x112.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/eletrical-code-training-250x187.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some 50 Electricians and Electrical Engineers gained invaluable information on Tuesday during a one-day seminar on the Canadian Electrical Code Part I, which is the electrical code adopted by The Bahamas.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsored by The Bahamas Society of Engineers and facilitated by The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI), there were numerous topics including, but not limited to: circuit loading, grounding and bonding; emergency generators and electrically connected life safety systems.<\/p>\n<p>Former Chief Electrical Inspector for Vancouver, Canada, Ark Tsisserev, was the main presenter to the audience, which included BTVI personnel.\u00a0\u00a0 Mr. Tsisserev has 25 years of experience in the field and is Committee Chair of the Canadian Electrical Code Part I of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).\u00a0 Also making a presentation was Manager of the CSA Electrical Codes, Michael Wilson.<\/p>\n<p>Associate member of the CSA, Quentin Knowles, noted the importance of the seminar as substantial education is required to be in compliance with the code.\u00a0 \u201cElectrical codes are very complex.
