47-year-old Police Inspector Archie Miller, who was shot last week during a covert police operation in Southwest New Providence, has died in hospital.<\/p>\n
Police say Miller was accidentally shot in the chest by another officer.<\/p>\n
He was rushed to Doctor’s Hospital, but died from the injuries on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
It is not clear if the officer who shot Miller will face charges.<\/p>\n
This is the second officer to be shot in less than a month.<\/p>\n
Constable Latroy Bodie, a DEU officer who was off-duty at the time, was shot several times while in the Miami Street area on November 4th.<\/p>\n
Bodie was near the residence of a friend around 5:00am when he was ambushed and shot while sitting in his car.<\/p>\n
Bodie drove himself near to Police Headquarters, then was taken to the hospital via ambulance.<\/p>\n
