Six people floating on a small raft in the Bahamas were rescued on Sunday by the\u00a0 Monarch of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.<\/p>\n
They had been on the raft for 15 days before being rescued by the cruise ship. There were seven of them on the raft but one died.<\/p>\n
The cruise ship was on its way to the Bahamas when it came upon the small raft. The raft was sighted by a passenger on board the ship.<\/p>\n
When the boat docked at Port Canaveral around 7:00 a.m. Monday police said the migrants were not on board, however, other officials may have reached the ship before it docked.<\/p>\n
The raft appeared to be a several tires tied together with green burlap and a makeshift sail.<\/p>\n
The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol is working with the Coast Guard as it is not known where the six people are from.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
