“Atletu,” written and produced by Davey Frankel and Rasselas Lakew, won the Spirit of Freedom award in the narrative film category.<\/p>\n
“Budrus,” written, directed and produced by Julia Bacha, won the documentary prize.<\/p>\n
“Hello Lonesome” by Adam Reid won the New Visions award and Bahamian Gustavius Smith won the short film award with his movie, “Contact Zone”.<\/p>\n
Audience awards went to “Atletu” in the feature narrative realm and “Bouncing Cats” for feature documentary.<\/p>\n
