The ballots, consisting of 19 candidates, did not include famed Haitian-born singer Wyclef Jean, who failed to make the bid due to residency requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The results were inconclusive and will require a &#8220;run-off&#8221; election between First Lady Mirlande Manigat and government technocrat Jude Celestin, protege of outgoing President Rene Preval.<\/p>\n<p>Haitians, protesting the &#8220;fraudulent elections&#8221; have taken to the streets, staging riots with reports of rock-throwing and tire-burning. Cholera and the allegations of corruption and fraud cloud the future of Haiti.
