{"id":5107,"date":"2010-12-13T09:19:27","date_gmt":"2010-12-13T14:19:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=5107"},"modified":"2010-12-13T09:19:27","modified_gmt":"2010-12-13T14:19:27","slug":"69-year-old-woman-raped-in-grand-bahama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2010\/12\/69-year-old-woman-raped-in-grand-bahama","title":{"rendered":"69-Year Old Woman Raped in Grand Bahama"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 69-year old female resident of Grand Bahama was raped in her own home in Andros Town, Eight Mile Rock, Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>A 25-year-old man is expected to be arraigned this morning for crime.<\/p>\n<p>Police reports indicate that the victim was at her residence, shortly after 9:00pm on Friday evening, when she was attacked by a man who raped her.<\/p>\n<p>Another occupant of the home heard the woman screaming for help and came to the rescue.\u00a0 The culprit managed to escape through a window and ran into the bushes nearby.<\/p>\n<p>Officers from the Central Detective Unit were called to investigate the matter. They arrested a man from Andros Town in Eight Mile Rock.\u00a0 The 25-year-old is expected to appear in the Magistrate&#8217;s Court in Eight Mile Rock this morning.<\/p>\n<p>A similar incident occurred only last month when a Catholic nun was brutally beaten and raped in Eleuthera.
