{"id":5640,"date":"2011-01-13T08:50:11","date_gmt":"2011-01-13T13:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=5640"},"modified":"2011-01-13T08:50:11","modified_gmt":"2011-01-13T13:50:11","slug":"lack-of-confidence-in-bahamas-judicial-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2011\/01\/lack-of-confidence-in-bahamas-judicial-system","title":{"rendered":"Lack of Confidence in Bahamas Judicial System"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The decrease in reports of child abuse in New Providence last year could be an indication of a lack of confidence in the judicial system.<\/p>\n<p>Social workers recorded a decrease of about 25 per cent in the number of   child abuse cases reported in New Providence for 2010, compared to   2009.<\/p>\n<p>Gil Maycock, president of Child Protection, told the Tribune newspaper that,\u00a0 &#8220;a lot of these cases  are being reported, but how many of these persons have been convicted?
